Renas is a well-adjusted Kurdish refugee who lives in a godforsaken spot in Northern Norway. He will soon marry Fermesk, a beautiful girl from a good family who will arrive by plane from Northern Iraq. But when Fermesk finally arrives, she does not look like the woman in the photographs. Nor does he live up to her notions of the dream man, and the intoxication of the first love is over. Both of them regret their decision, but now they only have each other, under the same roof, in the winter cold.
